Nigeria international Ashleigh Plumptre has signed a new contract extension with Saudi Women’s Premier League club Al Ittihad Ladies, keeping her at the club until 2028.
The Super Falcons defender has committed her future to the Jeddah-based side after agreeing to fresh terms that will see her remain with the club for the next two years.
Confirming the development, Al Ittihad Ladies announced on their official channels: “Ashley Palmer continues with the Brigadier until 2028.”
Plumptre, who has been a key figure for both Al Ittihad and the Nigerian national team, joined the Saudi club after leaving English side Leicester City.
Since her arrival, she has established herself as one of the team’s most dependable defenders with her composure, versatility, and leadership qualities.
The contract extension is a major boost for Al Ittihad as they continue to strengthen their squad and compete for honours in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
The 27-year-old is also expected to remain an important player for the Super Falcons as Nigeria prepares for upcoming international competitions when she recover from injury
