Nigeria’s Super Falcons stars Jennifer Echegini, Rinsola Babajide and Rasheedat Ajibade have intensified their preparations for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after taking part in a training camp organised by Nike in Mallorca, Spain.
The trio joined a number of Nike-sponsored athletes for high-intensity training sessions aimed at sharpening their fitness and match readiness ahead of the continental tournament.
The sessions provided the Nigerian internationals with an opportunity to fine-tune their conditioning while training alongside elite athletes from different parts of the world.
The Super Falcons are expected to begin their WAFCON campaign in the coming days, with the nine-time African champions looking to reclaim the continental title.
The presence of Echegini, Babajide and captain Ajibade at the elite training camp is expected to further boost Nigeria’s preparations as the team targets another successful outing on the African stage.
