Morocco secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Canada in their 2026 FIFA World Cup clash, with midfielder Azzedine Ounahi producing a match-winning performance by scoring twice.
Canada started brightly and put the Atlas Lions under pressure throughout the opening half.
However, Morocco’s defence stood firm to ensure the teams went into the break level at 0-0.
The North Africans returned with renewed purpose after the interval and finally broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute when Ounahi found the back of the net.
The midfielder doubled Morocco’s advantage in the 76th minute to put the game beyond Canada’s reach.
Substitute Soufiane Rahimi added further gloss to the scoreline in the eighth minute of stoppage time, scoring in the 98th minute to seal a comprehensive 3-0 victory for the Atlas Lions.
