Ivory Coast secured their place in the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a convincing 2-0 victory over Curaçao, while Tunisia’s campaign ended in disappointment following a 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands.

The Elephants produced a composed performance, with Nicolas Pépé scoring in each half to seal a comfortable win and book their spot in the knockout stage.

In the other group fixture, Tunisia suffered their third consecutive defeat of the tournament as they were outclassed by the Netherlands.

The Dutch took an early lead in the third minute after a Tunisia own goal by Ellyes Skhiri before Brian Brobbey doubled the advantage four minutes later.

Mastouri pulled one back for the Carthage Eagles in the 54th minute to offer a glimmer of hope, but Jan Paul van Hecke restored the Netherlands’ two-goal cushion with a strike in the 62nd minute.

The defeat confirmed Tunisia’s elimination from the tournament after losing all three of their group matches, while Ivory Coast progressed to the Round of 32 with an impressive display.
