Poland and Portugal have named formidable squads stacked with star power for their upcoming international friendly matches against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Poland head coach Michał Probierz has included star striker Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona in the squad, signaling his intent to field a highly competitive side against Nigeria.
Similarly, Portugal manager Roberto Martínez has named captain Cristiano Ronaldo in the squad, ensuring the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will lead the Seleção against the Super Eagles.
The two friendlies are scheduled for June 3rd and June 10th.
Nigeria are currently participating in the Unity Cup in London, where a portion of the squad is already in camp.
However, key first-team players, including captain Wilfred Ndidi and star striker Victor Osimhen, are expected to link up with the team in the coming days.
The matches against two top European nations are viewed as crucial preparation for the Super Eagles as the coaching crew continues to evaluate players and build squad cohesion ahead of major international assignments later in the year.
Both Poland and Portugal are expected to bring strong, near full-strength teams, promising exciting encounters for Nigerian fans.
