The Nigeria Football Federation has moved to strengthen its relationship with the Chinese Football Association following a high-level meeting between the NFF leadership and the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, in Abuja on Thursday.

The meeting focused on building stronger football ties between both countries, with discussions centred on technical cooperation, football development and future partnerships that could benefit Nigerian football.

The NFF leadership expressed its desire to establish meaningful collaboration with the Chinese Football Association as part of efforts to improve football administration, infrastructure development and exchange programmes.

Ambassador Yu Dunhai welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed China’s interest in supporting football growth and strengthening sporting relations with Nigeria.

The move is expected to open new opportunities for cooperation between both football bodies as the NFF continues to seek international partnerships aimed at developing the game across different levels in Nigeria.
