Manchester City have booked their place in the 2026 FA Cup final following a dramatic late victory over Southampton at Wembley Stadium.

After a tightly contested and goalless first half, the game burst into life in the closing stages. Southampton looked set for a famous upset when Finan Azza broke the deadlock in the 79th minute, calmly finishing to put the Saints ahead.

However, City responded almost immediately, with Jérémy Doku restoring parity in the 82nd minute after a swift attacking move.

The turnaround was completed just five minutes later when Nico González found the back of the net in the 87th minute, sealing a hard-fought victory for Pep Guardiola’s side.

The result sends Manchester City into the final, where they will now aim to secure another piece of domestic silverware, while Southampton are left to reflect on a spirited performance that ultimately fell short.
