Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi has taken a significant step towards full fitness after returning to training with Beşiktaş J.K. following a two-week spell on the sidelines due to injury.

Ndidi had been out of action since sustaining a Grade 2 partial tear in his hamstring during Beşiktaş’s 1–0 defeat to Fenerbahçe S.K. on April 5.

The midfielder was forced off late in the encounter after experiencing discomfort, with the match ultimately decided by a stoppage-time penalty converted by Kerem Aktürkoğlu.

The injury sidelined the former Leicester City man for subsequent fixtures, including the home clash against Antalyaspor, which he also missed due to suspension for accumulated bookings.

He was likewise absent during the team’s recent 2–1 defeat to Samsunspor.

His return to training now provides a timely boost for Beşiktaş as they approach a crucial phase of the season. However, a final decision regarding his availability for the upcoming cup fixture against Alanyaspor has yet to be confirmed.
