Manchester City ended Arsenal’s hopes of securing a quadruple this season with a commanding 2–0 victory in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

The highly anticipated clash, played at Wembley Stadium, saw the Gunners enter as slight favourites following their impressive form across competitions this term.

Despite the pre-match expectations, the first half failed to produce any goals, with both sides struggling to break the deadlock in a tightly contested encounter.

However, City emerged the stronger side after the break and began to assert their dominance.

Their persistence paid off in the 64th minute when Nico O’Reilly capitalised on a costly error from goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to open the scoring.

Just four minutes later, O’Reilly struck again to double City’s advantage, effectively sealing the contest and putting the trophy beyond Arsenal’s reach.

The victory secured the Carabao Cup title for Manchester City, while Arsenal were left to rue missed opportunities as their dream of a historic quadruple came to an end.
