Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has been cleared of match-fixing allegations following an investigation by his club Singida Black Stars SC

Obasogie had come under scrutiny a few weeks ago after fans, stakeholders, and some officials of the Tanzanian club accused him of being involved in match manipulation.

However, after conducting an extensive probe into the allegations, the club’s disciplinary committee found no evidence linking the Nigerian shot-stopper to any wrongdoing.

With the investigation concluded and his name cleared, Obasogie is now free to return to action and is expected to be available for selection for the Nigeria national football team ahead of their upcoming international friendly matches.

The decision brings relief to the goalkeeper, who had faced intense scrutiny in recent weeks while the investigation was ongoing.
