The Super Eagles of Nigeria may be without Stanley Nwabali and Frank Onyeka for their final Group stage match against Uganda at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Head coach Eric Chelle confirmed on Monday that both players are nursing slight injuries, casting doubt over their availability for Tuesday’s encounter.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Chelle disclosed that the duo will undergo medical assessment to determine the severity of their injuries before a final decision is taken.

“Stanley Nwabali and Frank Onyeka have slight injuries. We will assess them and see their condition ahead of the game,” Chelle said.

Nigeria, already in contention for qualification, will be aiming to secure a positive result against Uganda to consolidate their position in the group.

The possible absence of Nwabali and Onyeka could, however, force Chelle to make adjustments to his lineup.
