A major boost has arrived for both Lazio and the Nigerian national team as midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru edges closer to full fitness after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined since September, missing three Serie A games, but Lazio confirmed in an official update that he has “returned to individual training and is progressing well toward complete recovery.”

This development comes as a relief for coach Maurizio Sarri, whose side has endured an inconsistent start to the season. Dele-Bashiru’s energy and creativity in midfield could prove vital in reigniting Lazio’s domestic campaign.

On the international front, the news is equally encouraging for Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle. Dele-Bashiru was unavailable for Nigeria’s recent World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin, and his return will provide a welcome boost ahead of next month’s key fixtures.
