Former Nigeria captain and Everton stalwart Joseph Yobo has encouraged Moses Simon to target a move to the English Premier League if he decides to leave FC Nantes in the upcoming transfer window.

Despite having a contract with Nantes until June 2026, Simon is reportedly considering a move away—especially if the club is relegated from Ligue 1. A potential exit could help the Canaries generate much-needed funds.

Interest in the 29-year-old winger has been growing, with clubs like Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais, Stade Rennais, and Everton all reportedly monitoring his situation.

In an exclusive interview with Africafoot, Yobo emphasized that now is the right time for Simon to make the leap to England’s top flight.

“I don’t know how true the reports are about him leaving Nantes, but if he does move, it should be to the Premier League,” Yobo said. “Given his talent, versatility, and experience, it’s long overdue. He’s always been good enough for English football.”

Yobo added, “A move to the Premier League would be the pinnacle of his career. It’s the most competitive and prestigious league in the world.”
