The South Africa Football Association (SAFA), led by its president Danny Jordaan, has expressed full support for Nigeria’s Super Eagles to secure qualification for the FIFA World Cup.

Despite South Africa topping the qualifying group ahead of Nigeria earlier in the campaign, Jordaan insisted that the quality and pedigree of the Nigerian national team makes them strong contenders for a World Cup ticket.

“Nigeria is a big team and they have their players among the best in the world,” Jordaan stated.

“If they can play up to their ability, I’m sure they will qualify.”

He further emphasized that South Africans are rooting for the West African giants to succeed in their final hurdle.

“On behalf of the South African people, we are behind Nigeria,” he added.

Nigeria will face a crucial encounter in their quest to reach the global tournament, as expectations continue to rise around the formidable Super Eagles squad.
