The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), under the leadership of Ibrahim Gusau, has opened discussions regarding the bonus structure for Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle and the players, should they secure qualification for the FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria will face stiff competition in the playoffs, going up against Gabon, Cameroon, and DR Congo for a place in the next round of qualifiers.

According to UK-based Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana, representatives of the NFF held a meeting with Chelle’s agent at the Eko Hotel, Lagos, on Sunday to deliberate on the proposed incentive packages.

The federation is reportedly planning a substantial qualification bonus to further inspire the players and technical crew to give their best in the decisive playoff matches.

The Super Eagles are expected to begin their playoff campaign with full focus and determination as the nation rallies behind them in pursuit of another World Cup appearance.
