Gabon head coach Thierry Mouyouma has expressed confidence that his team is fully prepared for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff clash against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The Panthers, who are chasing a historic first-ever World Cup qualification, have shown impressive form throughout the campaign, suffering just one defeat in ten matches.

Speaking ahead of the high-stakes encounter, Mouyouma said the team remains focused and motivated to achieve their dream.

> “In a few days, my team and I will face one of Africa’s football powerhouses — Nigeria,” Mouyouma wrote on his official account.

“This playoff represents a major turning point for us, as it could open the door to our first World Cup appearance. We have a dream — to go to the World Cup — and that dream is still alive.”

The tactician urged his players and supporters to stay united and determined ahead of Thursday’s showdown.

> “We will do everything possible to make this dream a reality. It’s not enough to dream big; we must also work hard to make it happen.

“Let’s stay focused for the match on Thursday, November 13, against Nigeria. If we win, we’ll face the winner of the DR Congo versus Cameroon game.

“To all Gabonese supporters — your encouragement is our fuel. Let’s keep believing.”
