Zambia head coach Nora Häuptle has declared her team’s readiness for their crucial quarter-final clash against Nigeria’s Super Falcons at the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Copper Queens have been impressive so far in the tournament and are looking to maintain their momentum heading into Friday’s showdown.

“We’re in a good place now with five days to rest and recover,” Häuptle said. “It gives us the chance to regroup, prepare, and study our opponents. Whoever we face, we’ll be ready.

“If you want to win the tournament, you have to beat the best  and we’re prepared to do just that.”

Zambia will rely heavily on their potent attacking duo of Barbra Banda and Racheal Kundananji, who have been central to the team’s success with their pace, creativity, and eye for goal.

The match is scheduled for Friday at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, with kick-off set for 5:00 PM Nigerian time.
