WAFU B confirms Benin as host for 2025 women’s U20 tournament

The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) has officially announced Benin Republic as the host nation for the 2025 Women’s U20 Championship, scheduled to take place from November 3 to 10, 2025.

The regional competition will bring together some of West Africa’s brightest young talents, with Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, and host nation Benin among the participating countries.

Ghana, winners of the maiden edition, will look to defend their title, while Nigeria’s Falconets one of Africa’s most successful youth teams are expected to pose a strong challenge. Niger and Benin will also aim to make their mark in the week-long tournament.

The event is part of WAFU B’s continued effort to promote women’s football development across the sub-region and provide a competitive platform for emerging players.
