Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been invited to participate in a Four-Nation preparatory tournament involving the West African teams that will represent the zone at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The mini-tournament, organized by the WAFU-B Secretariat, will feature Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire. It is scheduled to hold between February 27 and March 7 as part of preparations for the continental showpiece.
The competition is designed to provide the four qualified teams with high-level match exposure and an opportunity to fine-tune their squads ahead of the 2026 WAFCON.
It will also serve as a platform for coaches to assess player combinations and tactical options in a competitive setting.
The Super Falcons, Africa’s most successful women’s national team, are expected to use the tournament to build momentum as they continue preparations for the championship, where they will be targeting another strong title challenge.
