The Super Falcons’ training camp in Casablanca is beginning to take shape ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

A total of seven players have now reported to camp, including American-based trio Asisat Oshoala, Michelle Alozie, and Deborah Abiodun.

Also present are Chinwendu Ihezuo, Folashade Ijamilusi, Esther Okoronkwo, and new invitee Chioma Okafor.

They are expected to be joined by the rest of the squad on Wednesday following Nigeria’s international friendly against Portugal in Lisbon, which ended in a goalless draw on Monday. Seventeen players featured in that encounter.

The Super Falcons will take on arch-rivals, the Black Queens of Ghana, in another preparatory match on Sunday.

The nine-time African champions are aiming to claim a record-extending tenth WAFCON title when the tournament kicks off in Morocco early next month.
