Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade was named Woman of the Match following her outstanding display in Nigeria’s hard-fought victory over Botswana at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite being the favourites, the Falcons had to dig deep to overcome the resilient Mares in a tightly contested encounter.

Ajibade, a former Atlético Madrid Femenino star, stood out with her leadership and influence throughout the match, earning her the Most Valuable Player award as announced by CAF.

She is now expected to play a key role once again as Nigeria prepares for their final Group B clash against Algeria.
