The University of Ghana Stadium will now serve as the sole venue for the CAF African Schools Football Championship, set to take place from April 21-26, 2025.

Originally, the preliminary rounds were scheduled for the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, with the finals to be held at the University of Ghana Stadium. However, CAF has opted to centralize the tournament, moving all matches to a single location.

This decision aims to streamline logistics and enhance coordination for teams, officials, and organizers.

The competition will feature national school teams from 46 countries, including winners from CAF’s six zones and host nation Ghana. The total prize pool remains $650,000, with the champion school receiving $300,000, the runner-up earning $200,000, and the third-place team securing $150,000.

This edition marks the first time a West African nation is hosting the tournament, following previous events in South Africa (2023) and Tanzania (2024).
