Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong says he’s relished his time with Saudi Pro League side Al-Kholood.
Troost-Ekong made the move to Al-Kholood on a free transfer last summer after leaving Greek outfit AEK Athens.
The central defender was a key performer for Noureddine Zekri’s team last season, scoring twice in 32 league appearances.
“Playing in Saudi Arabia is a unique experience — it’s great to be a part of a project alongside big names and successful players,” he told Flashscore.
“I’ve enjoyed my first season with the team. We finished in mid-table, which is something special for a newly promoted side, and I’m looking forward to continuing this journey in the new season.
“As captain, I’m eager to learn more about Saudi Arabia’s football culture.”
