UCL: Who made It to the round of 16?

The final 16 teams in the Champions League have been confirmed, and they will discover their opponents in Friday’s draw.

This season’s new format featured a single league phase, with the top eight teams advancing directly to the Round of 16. Those teams are: Inter, Liverpool, Barcelona, Lille, Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, and Arsenal.

The remaining eight spots were determined through play-offs, where Juventus, Milan, and Atalanta were unfortunately eliminated. The teams that progressed from the play-offs are: Club Brugge, Feyenoord, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, and PSV Eindhoven.

Round of 16 Draw

With the knockout stage now set, the competition follows a bracket format, meaning each team has a 50-50 chance of facing one of two possible opponents. However, the official matchups will be confirmed in Friday’s draw.

One confirmed scenario: Inter will face either Feyenoord or PSV Eindhoven.

Additionally, teams that qualified directly to the Round of 16 are seeded, giving them the advantage of playing the second leg at home.
