Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola can hardly believe his team drew with Feyenoord in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
City surrendered a 3-0 lead in the final quarter.
Guardiola showed up at the press conference after the match with a cut on his nose.
“I cut myself with my nail. I want to hurt myself,” he joked.
City seemed on course for an easy win against Feyenoord, but gave the victory away in the final quarter.
“It’s hard to swallow. We could have scored more often, but we gave away a goal because we weren’t stable. We played a good game, but at this level we can’t give it away.”
City led 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium until the 75th minute. When Feyenoord came alongside in a magnificent manner, the home fans clearly showed their displeasure with boos.
“They are disappointed. Of course we understand that, they have the right to express that. They are not here for the success of the past, they are here to see the team play well now”, he added
