Atalanta boss Ivan Juric has ruled out Ademola Lookman from Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League showdown with Paris Saint-Germain, insisting the forward must show greater commitment before earning a place in the squad.
Lookman has yet to feature for La Dea this season after pushing for a move during the summer transfer window. Juric made it clear he will not plead with the Nigerian international to play, reiterating the same stance he shared before Atalanta’s weekend fixture against Lecce.
“Lookman in Paris? I think not. The situation is unpleasant and not beautiful,” the 50-year-old coach told DAZN. “We need players who are ready and willing to give everything for the shirt.”
With Lookman sidelined, Atalanta will focus on preparing a fully committed squad for their trip to the Parc des Princes.
