Nigeria’s Junior D’Tigress continued their impressive performance in the ongoing 2024 U18 Afrobasketball championship in Pretoria as they cruised into the final at the expense of Uganda.
The game was keenly contested but it was the Nigerian side who prevailed 71-67 to reach the final of the championship .
Despite the strong display of Uganda, it was Junior D’Tigress who was leading 45-39 by halftime.
They took their lead into the 3rd quarter 61-54 before nailing the game 71-67 and set up a final clash against Mali.
Apart from qualifying for the final, the Junior D’Tigress also qualified for the World Championship in Switzerland.
