Nigeria’s Junior D’Tigress late on Wednesday evening did the impossible by beating Egypt to reach the semi final of the 2024 U18 Afrobasketball championship in Pretoria.
The Nigerian side demonstrated their superiority from the blast of whistle and they comfortably leading 36-23 by halftime.
They continued their domination in the 3rd quarter and claimed 54-36 win before wrapping up the game in the final quarter with 66-51 win.
The victory set up another huge clash for the Nigerian team as they will confront Uganda in the semi final of the championship.
This is the first time Junior D’Tigress will be reaching the semi final of the competition in 14 years.
