Wesley Okoduwa, the son of former Nigerian international Emmanuel Okoduwa, has penned his first professional contract with Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Born in the United States, Okoduwa moved to the UK at a young age and joined Wolves’ development centre at just nine years old. He officially signed for their academy the following year.

Now 17, Okoduwa has steadily climbed through the ranks of the Wolves Academy and will continue his journey with the club as a full professional, extending his eight-year relationship with the Old Gold.

The right-back has already been named in Wolves’ first-team matchday squad six times, making his debut at just 15 in a match against Newcastle United in March 2024. His most recent appearance was against Nottingham Forest earlier this year under manager Vitor Pereira.

On the international stage, Okoduwa has represented England at various youth levels, including playing a key role in their victory at the 2023 Val de Marne Tournament with the under-16s. Just two months ago, he earned a call-up to the under-18s for the first time.
