Nigeria’s Super Falcons attacker, Monday Gift, has completed a move to NWSL side Washington Spirit.
Gift confirmed her departure from Spanish Iberdrola club UDG Tenerife on Tuesday morning, with Washington Spirit officially announcing her arrival later in the day.
“Washington Spirit has signed Nigerian forward Gift Monday to a three-year deal with a 2028 team option in a transfer from Spain’s UD Tenerife. The move involved a transfer fee paid to UD Tenerife by the Spirit,” the club stated.
The former Bayelsa Queens striker made 65 appearances for Tenerife, scoring 26 goals.
