Super Eagles midfielder Afeez Aremu has completed a permanent transfer to Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen from German outfit FC Kaiserslautern.
The 26-year-old has signed a contract with the Dons that will run until 2028, with the move subject to the completion of visa formalities and international clearance.
Aremu, a Nigerian international, becomes Aberdeen’s fifth signing of the January transfer window, further strengthening the club’s squad ahead of the second half of the season.
He follows the arrivals of Lyall Cameron, Liam Morrison, Toyosi Olusanya, and Norwegian goalkeeper Per Kristian Bråtveit, as the Pittodrie club continues an aggressive recruitment drive.
The former Kaiserslautern midfielder is expected to add energy, defensive solidity, and experience to Aberdeen’s midfield as they push for improved league positioning and domestic success.
