Talks are back underway in Saudi Arabia today to decide whether any of the biggest clubs in the country will make a late move for the Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen failed to secure a move to Al Ahli or Chelsea on Friday, last day of the European summer transfer window.
Osimhen had agreed personal terms with Al Ahli but the SPL club were unable to agree a transfer fee with Napoli.
Al Ahli then completed a deal to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford last night.
Several other major SPL clubs, such as Al Nassr, Al Hilal and Al Ittihad, have the financial resources to sign Osimhen but not all of them need a forward or have foreign player slots available in their 25-player SPL squads.
While it is acknowledged that any late move for Osimhen will be difficult, it is being discussed and considered.
The SPL window closes at midnight on Monday.
