Valencia CF have completed the permanent signing of Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar from Real Sociedad

The Super Eagles forward has returned to Mestalla on a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028, marking a full-circle move after his impressive spell with Los Che last season.

Sadiq, born in Kaduna on February 2, 1997, initially joined Valencia in January and quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad.

He featured in 19 matches across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing a significant boost to Valencia’s attacking threat.

His goals and overall influence played a major role in Valencia’s resurgence during the second half of the campaign, as the team recorded improved results and performances.

Following his impact, Valencia moved swiftly to secure his services on a long-term basis, reaching an agreement with Real Sociedad to finalize the transfer.

The deal represents a major vote of confidence in Sadiq Umar, who is expected to play a central role in Valencia’s attacking plans ahead of the new season.
