Brentford has announced the loan signing of defender Michael Kayode from Serie A club Fiorentina, pending international clearance.
The deal includes an option for Brentford to make the move permanent for £13.5m in the summer.
Upon Kayode’s arrival, Brentford’s director of football, Phil Giles, said: “Michael is a player we believe will adapt well to Brentford and the physical demands of the Premier League.
“We’ve been tracking him for some time, and it’s been a bit unfortunate that he hasn’t had more playing time this season.
“The structure of the deal allows us to gradually integrate him into the squad and Premier League football before considering a permanent move in the summer.”
