Scottish Premiership club Motherwell have officially completed the signing of Nigerian winger Ibrahim Said on a two-year contract.

The former Golden Eaglets standout, who emerged from the Dabo Babes Academy in Nigeria, moved to Danish side Viborg FF in 2021 at just 18 years old. At the time, he attracted interest from several top European clubs including Club Brugge, İstanbul Başakşehir, Liverpool, and Manchester City.

Motherwell confirmed the signing on Friday after Said successfully completed his medical.

“Ibrahim Said is the latest player to make the switch to Fir Park, joining on a two-year deal from Viborg FF for an undisclosed fee, with the club holding the option of a further year,” the club stated.

During his time in Denmark, Said made over 100 appearances for Viborg, netting 11 goals.
