English Championship side Stoke City has completed the signing of Nigerian-eligible player Bosun Lawal on a four-year deal from Celtic for an undisclosed fee.
Lawal was born in the United Kingdom to Nigerian parents and despite representing the Republic of Ireland at the U21 level is still eligible for Nigeria.
A versatile operator, who has featured in defence and midfield in his career to date, Lawal checks in at the Stoke’s Stadium having spent the 23/24 campaign on loan with Fleetwood Town, where he appeared 46 times in all competitions and scored six goals.
Although a short-term injury will prevent the 21-year-old from making his Potters debut immediately.
