The South Africa Premier League side Chippa United has succeeded in waving away suitors from getting Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali and tied him into a new deal.
Former Lobi Stars goaltender came into limelight during the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Club in Europe indicated interest in having him but no agreement was reached.
According to the update from South Africa, Chippa United has given Nwabali a 3-year contract extension.
Super Eagles will face Benin and Rwanda next week during the 2025 AFCON qualifier and Nwabali is expected to be in goal.
