Atletico Madrid have sealed an £82m deal for Manchester City and Argentina forward Julian Alvarez.
Alvarez has signed a six-year contract keeping him with Diego Simeone’s side until 2030.
He trades Manchester for Madrid after two-and-a-half successful years with City, winning six trophies while netting 36 goals in 103 appearances.
Having arrived from River Plate in a deal worth £14m in January 2022, his sale represents a huge profit for City.
Alvarez was part of the victorious Argentine team to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the recent Copa America in 2024 in the United States.
