Atalanta has officially unveiled 17-year-old Italian-born Nigerian defender Honest Ahanor.
The former UEFA Europa League champions, who completed his signing on July 4, 2025, presented the youngster to the public on Wednesday.
Born in Aversa, Italy, Ahanor is of Nigerian descent through his parents, making him eligible to represent Nigeria at the international level.
He came through the youth ranks at Genoa, featuring for their U-15, U-16, and U-17 teams during the 2023/24 season.
Ahanor began his senior career with Serie D side Albisola, making his first matchday squad appearance on August 9, 2024, in a 1–0 victory over Latte Dolce.
He notably scored the opening goal in Albisola’s 2-2 draw against Napoli on May 11, 2025, further showcasing his potential.
