Clearlake Capital has the majority of shares in Chelsea, and according to the update from Stamford Bridge, they are interested in buying, among other things, Todd Boehly’s share of the club.
Chelsea’s majority owners Clearlake Capital are interested in buying a larger share of the club, and at the same time, Todd Boehly is also reportedly willing to sell out of his percentage of the London club.
It is only two years since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital bought the Russian multi-millionaire Roman Abramovich out of the club, when he was forced to sell his share of Chelsea due to his relationship with Vladimir Putin.
As it stands now, Clearlake Capital, which has co-owner Behdad Eghbali, owns 61.5 percent of the club.
Boehly shares the last almost 40 percent with businessman Mark Walter and Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss.
