Swedish coach Janne Anderson has confirmed that is in discussion with the Nigeria Football Federation over the vacant Super Eagles post.
Super Eagles has been without a coach since Finidi George resigned his appointment as the head of the team.
The football body has been on the lookout for a new manager, and the Swedish gaffer is among the candidates being considered.
” I can confirm that I have had a dialogue with the Nigeria Football Federation.
” It’s a huge footballing nation so I’m extremely flattered to be in the running to be their next national team captain.
Dialogue is ongoing and I don’t really want to say more than that.
I have been in this industry for so long and know that things can happen in different ways.
So we’ll see what happens in the future”, he told Sweden news outlet Expressen.
Andersson has been without a team since he left the Swedish national team last November.
