Few months after failing to get the job, Swedish coach Janne Andersson has revealed the reason for turning down the opportunity to coach Super Eagles.
Anderson was one of the top managers shortlisted for the appointment after the departure of Jose Peseiro.
While speaking to Bold News, the coach confirmed that he received offers from Nigeria and Latvia.
” I received two specific proposals from Latvia and Nigeria, which I chose to decline”.
” Nigeria wanted me to be national coach. There was a lot that attracted me, but the overall package wasn’t that great”.
“It didn’t feel 100 percent right, and it needs to be in order to be fully invested”, he said.
