Galatasaray laboured to a hard 2-1 win over the visiting Goztepe on Saturday to start the new year on a winning note.
It was Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen who stole the show again with another impressive performance.
The Nigerian International opened the scoring in the 10th minute from the penalty spot after he was brought down by the Goztepe defender.
Romulo equalised just before the half and pegged back the attacking threat of the Red and Blood.
Yunus Akguns scored the winning goal in the 62nd minute to ensure a maximum points for the host.
With the goal against Goztepe, Osimhen has now scored 13 goals this season.
