Super Falcons and Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been nominated for the PFA Women’s Super League (WSL) Fans’ Player of the Month award for September.

The reigning African Goalkeeper of the Year, who joined Brighton ahead of the 2025/26 season, earned her place on the shortlist following a string of outstanding performances.

Since her arrival, Nnadozie has made five appearances for Albion, keeping two clean sheets and playing a key role as the club collected seven points from their first four Barclays WSL matches — including a standout display against Manchester City.

The Nigerian international’s nomination caps off a memorable year in her career. She helped the Super Falcons lift the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, was named Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament, and made history as the first African goalkeeper nominated for the inaugural Women’s Yashin Trophy at the Ballon d’Or awards.

Nnadozie will compete for the monthly honour alongside Aggie Beever-Jones (Chelsea), Melvine Malard (Manchester United), Alessia Russo (Arsenal), Bunny Shaw (Manchester City), and Cathinka Tandberg (Tottenham Hotspur).
