Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has opened up about the emotional challenges she has been facing since joining Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Women’s Super League, revealing that loneliness has deeply affected her.

In Nike and VERSUS’ “Nothing Off the Table” film, the Nigerian shot-stopper shared that life off the pitch has been far from easy, despite the glamour often associated with playing in Europe.

“It has not really been easy because people only see you on the field; they don’t know the struggles behind,” Nnadozie said.

She further confessed that adapting to her new environment has been emotionally draining.

“Since I moved to Brighton, I cry every day because I feel lonely. I miss my family, my teammates, and my coaches. They always try to check up on me to make sure I’m okay,” she added.

Despite the challenges, Nnadozie continues to push through, showing the same strength and determination that have made her one of Africa’s top goalkeepers.
