Spanish La Liga has announced the winner of the Goal of the Month award for March, with Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar emerging as the recipient.
The list of nominees was released earlier in the week, featuring Umar among other contenders. On Friday, ahead of the weekend’s fixtures, the Nigerian international was officially named the winner.
Umar joined Valencia on loan from Real Sociedad during the winter transfer window and has since proven to be a valuable addition to the team.
The towering forward was also part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
