Bayer Leverkusen head coach Kasper Hjulmand has confirmed that Nathan Tella is close to returning to action after the upcoming international break.
Tella has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury during Leverkusen’s 3–1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in September.
Providing an update ahead of their clash with FC Heidenheim, Hjulmand revealed that the midfielder, alongside Axel, has resumed individual training.
“Nathan and Axel are already back on the pitch and training individually,” Hjulmand told the club’s official website. “I think the international break over the next two weeks will help. Maybe they’ll be ready right after the break, or it might take another week, but the plan is for them to join team training soon.”
Tella has made four appearances in all competitions for Die Werkself this season, contributing one assist.
