After their passage to the 2025 African Cup of Nations on Thursday, the news coming from the camp of the Nigeria’s Super Eagles is not palatable.
Goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali via his social media handle announced the passing away of his dad.
The Chippa United goalkeeper was in goal for the Super Eagles against Cheetahs of Benin
“I got a call during the match last night dat my dad has gone , I managed to keep with a broken heart. Rest in heaven dad, oh God accept his soul.” Rest in peace dad”, accompanied by a tearful emoji,” he wrote on his official facebook page.
The cause of his death was not reveal.
