African soccer ruling body has announced South Africa as the host of the 2025 U20 African Cup of Nations.
North African country Egypt, hosted the last edition of the competition.
The qualification for the competition has started at the regional level, and WAFU B, which involves Nigeria, is expected to take place in October.
South Africa last hosted the competition in 2011 and it was Nigeria’s Flying Eagles who emerged victorious after beating Senegal in the final
The competition is slated to take in January 2025.
