Ademola Lookman found the back of the net in Atalanta’s 2-1 victory over AS Roma in their Serie A encounter at the Gewiss Stadium on Monday.
Having passed a late fitness test, the Nigerian forward was named in the starting XI and wasted no time making an impact, opening the scoring in the 9th minute after being set up by Belgian midfielder Charles De Ketelaere.
The goal marked Lookman’s 20th of the season across all competitions for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side. The 27-year-old completed the full 90 minutes.
Roma drew level in the 32nd minute through Bryan Cristante, but Atalanta sealed the win with a strike from Ibrahim Kakari in the 76th minute.
